ZHIYUN has announced the FIVERAY FR100C, a portable LED light stick. Now, ZHIYUN claims that the FIVERAY FR100C is 5x brighter than other alternatives on the market, but they don’t specify what those alternatives are.

The FR100C is claimed to be able to produce up to 1907 lux at a distance of 1m, although this is at 4000K, not 5600K. At 6200K the output is half of what it is at 4000K. The fixture also draws 100W which is a lot for a small-sized light.

The lighty also features 100 dimming steps, an ergonomic control wheel, and an inbuilt status display.

The light weighs in at Weighs only 920g and it also has a standard ¼-20″ mounting screw hole in the base.

The light stick is Kelvin color temperature adjustable from 2700K-6300K, and it has an HSI mode.

The FR100C features built-in fans and a 6-cell internal battery, that is claimed to run the light at full power for up to 40 minutes. It can be charged through a USB-C input. The light looks like it has a lot of fans and I would be interested to know how much noise they produce.

The ZHIYUN FIVERAY FR100C is available in either white or black for $199 USD. You can also get it in a combo that includes a 120W power adapter for $249 USD.
